What is risk management?

Managing possible risks associated with events is vital for an event to succeed. Having a comprehensive risk management plan in place will assist the team to manage the reputation of both the event and the organisation more effectively if a crisis should occur.

We have established that the stakeholder management plan forms the foundation of the risk management plan. Each stakeholder group identified and analysed in the stakeholder analysis is associated with a cluster of risks.

It is essential to identify the risks for each group and act to prevent them from causing damage to the event.
